Your class will be writing ONE group paragraph(s) for the story (not each student). The first class will write the intro paragraph(s). Then the next class will read the paragraph(s) and decide how they want to continue the story. This will continue until the last class on the list writes the ending and gives the story a title. Your paragraph(s) will be typed onto this Wiki page. You will also need to send (email as .jpg) the 3 pictures to your Teacher Leader. The pictures should illustrate events in the section that your class wrote.

Please visit the Instructions Page for more information.

Please add your information to the chart. This way your classes can "see" where the story is traveling and have a chance to actually "meet" some of the students who collaborate on their story.

Title (Given by the last class): Turkey Bob's Lucky Day
Start your story here: Once upon a time Bob the turkey was looking for food on the farm. He was running around in circles. He got dizzy and fell down. "Gobble, Gobble, Gobble-ooof!" Bob knew that soon people would be coming to the farm to buy him and roast him for Thanksgiving dinner. He decided to look for food in the forest. He jumped over the fence and escaped into the forest. He sees berries on the forest floor. He decides to eat them. All of the sudden a deer comes near and says...

“This must be my lucky day! A turkey eating berries at Thanksgiving!?”

This startled Bob the turkey, who turned around and yelled. But he was able to think fast, because that’s what turkeys do at Thanksgiving- they are very clever. “Please, Mr. Deer, don’t eat me. Let me go to your house and we can prepare a delicious Thanksgiving feast together.”

This sounded like a good idea to the deer. “A turkey would know a lot about Thanksgiving feasts!” So the two of them headed off to the deer’s home in the woods……
All of a sudden something stopped the deer and the turkey. It was Chucrocka, the ten foot alligator from the nearby swamp. “Please don’t eat us,” said Bob and the deer. “I don’t want to eat you, I just want a home for Thanksgiving,” replied Chucrocka. “You can come with us! Join us for Thanksgiving at my house,” said deer. Chucrocka responded happily “Thanks! And by the way…what are your names?” “I’m Michael,” said the deer. “My mom will be really excited to have more company at dinner! Come on Bob and
Chucrocka (?)
let’s get going!”

When they arrive at the deer's house, Farmer James was already there. He was ready to join them for dinner. The animals didn't know that Farmer James was really there to trick them. They all sat down to eat and celebrate together. Farmer James said to Bob, "Jump on this plate and see how warm it is." Bob fell for the trick and the farmer popped him into the oven. But, the oven was actually off...

Good thing for Bob! While Farmer James was thinking of his juicy, plump turkey, Bob's friends were cooking up a plan. Chucrocka asked Farmer James, "What about the sides?" Farmer James replied, "Oh, I forgot about that! Potatoes are my favorite." Chucrocka then tells Farmer James that there is a field where the best potatoes grow but they would have to cross the swamp to get there. Farmer James says, "I can't swim. How would we get there?" "I can take you while the others prepare for the feast," said Chucrocka. "Just ride on my back and I will take you across." Farmer James was hesitant but the thought of those big, yummy potatoes was too much. He climbed on Chucrocka's spikey back. As they journeyed across the swamp, all Chucrocka could think about was how hungry he was. But he remembered the big feast his friends were preparing. When they got to the field across the swamp, Farmer James hopped off Chucrocka's back. Farmer James said, "Where are all the potatoes?" You will have look for them," Chucrocka replied. Chucrocka slithered into the swamp and headed back to the other side to see his friends. While Chucrocka and his friends, including Bob, ate a wonderful Thanksgiving feast, Farmer James spent his Thanksgiving looking for the potatoes. The End.
