Your class will be writing ONE group paragraph(s) for the story (not each student). The first class will write the intro paragraph(s). Then the next class will read the paragraph(s) and decide how they want to continue the story. This will continue until the last class on the list writes the ending and gives the story a title. Your paragraph(s) will be typed onto this Wiki page. You will also need to send (email as .jpg) the 3 pictures to your Teacher Leader. The pictures should illustrate events in the section that your class wrote.

Please visit the Instructions Page for more information.

Please add your information to the chart. This way your classes can "see" where the story is traveling and have a chance to actually "meet" some of the students who collaborate on their story.

Title (Given by the last class):

Start your story here: Trembling Trouble
The ground started to tremble as the Harry’s were fast asleep. The Harry’s are a Sasquatch family that live deep in the woods on Mt. St. Melon’s in the Pacific Northwest. It started out as a normal day on the mountain. Larry Harry, the dad, went fishing and caught his biggest trout yet, a 42 incher. Mary Harry, the mom, also had a great day because she found the most delicious trout recipe; it consisted of dirt, worms, and spider legs. Their two kids Barry and Carry enjoyed a lovely day of pin the tail on the raccoon (they used a real raccoon and his tail). The day couldn’t have been better but this all changed when the ground started to shake later that evening. "The mountain's going to blow," exclaimed Larry to his wife! The Harry's panicked and scurried to their children's underground den. When they went to wake the kids, neither of them were in their beds.

As it turned out, the two of them had gone outside hours ago only to be captured by Captain Hook. Now Larry and Mary Harry had a bad habit of dancing when they got worried. Actually, come to think of it, the whole family had a nervous dancing tick. So Mary Harry nervously began the hokey pokey, shaking all about. Then crazy Larry Harry started to Samba. Before either of them could start the Macarena, there was deep rumbling as the ground began to shake again.

Now hours before the ground began to shake and the Harry's began to dance, Barry and Carry Harry had decided to sneek out of the house to go to the biggest, most exciting party of the century along with all of their Sasquatch friends. Barry and Carry waited until they could hear their parents' loud, obnoxious sounding snoring before they tip-toed out the door. Before they knew it, they were at the outragous party. There was a DJ playing the latest funky hip-hop hits. There was FOOD and lots of it--cheesy nachos, delicious banana cake covered with colorful sprinkles, pizza filled with cheese, pepperoni, sausage and extra onions. The forest was decorated for this festive occasion. Lights were draped from the trees, beautiful balloons were filled with fireflies that lit the dark night, and brightly colored streamers blew in the breeze. Everyone who was anyone was at this party! "Let's get this party started!" shouted Barry as everyone began to dance. Suddenly, the Sasquatches start to feel the ground tremble. They all stop to see what is going on. The ground stops! "I guess it was nothing," says Carry and they all dance again. This time the ground shakes even more. This time everyone panics. They think it's an earthquake so they all start to run home. Carry and Barry hide in the bushes only to be captured by Captain Hook who has been watching them all along.

Before Captain Hook drags them to his ship, he feels a deep rumbling as the ground begins to shake again. "What is causing all this shaking?" he wonders.

Captain Hook thinks that it is a volcano but it is an earthquake. Everything shook very hard and then suddenly, it stopped and everything was very still. Barry and Carry get very nervous and start to dance all around. Captain Hook thought the ground was making them shake. While he is looking at the ground, Barry and Carry run away from him. When they run back into the forest, they meet some of the other people from the party. The people tell them that their parents have been looking for them. Barry and Carry are so happy! They run home as fast as they can. Their parents meet them at the door! All of a sudden the rumbling starts again and causes a huge split in the ground. The split separates Carry and Barry from their parents again! They all began to scream and dance around.

The Harrys finally stopped dancing and both parents and children start to brainstorm a plan to get back together. They know that they can’t jump over the crack because one mistake might lead to a disaster. Some ideas they thought of were to build a catapult, throw a rope to the other side, but secretly they wished they could turn into monkeys and swing over the crevice. As they were thinking, they saw a twinkling in the sky. Before their eyes, Tinkerbell appeared. She had heard Captain Hook was up to his evil ways and she wanted to help reunite the Harrys. Sprinkling her pixie dust, the crack began to close. At last the Harrys were reunited and they decided to have a huge celebration. They invited all the Sasquatchs to their party. The Harrys lived happily ever after and no disasters happened ever again.
