Stories and Voicethreads
Your class will be writing ONE group paragraph(s) for the story (not each student). The first class will write the intro paragraph(s). Then the next class will read the paragraph(s) and decide how they want to continue the story. This will continue until the last class on the list writes the ending and gives the story a title. Your paragraph(s) will be typed onto this Wiki page. You will also need to send (email as .jpg) the 3 pictures to your Teacher Leader. The pictures should illustrate events in the section that your class wrote.
Please visit the

Please add your information to the chart. This way your classes can "see" where the story is traveling and have a chance to actually "meet" some of the students who collaborate on their story.

Title (Given by the last class): The Girl Who Saved the Aquarium
Start your story here:
A girl named Jewel was exploring the jungle behind her beach front house in Bali, Indonesia. She spotted a huge banyan tree and decided to check it out. She started to climb in and around the many roots of the tree. She then noticed a passageway hidden in the roots and went inside. She followed it down and entered a magical place.
She continued walking and she soon saw four animals that could talk. There was a snake named Slither, a monkey named Mushy, a sun-bear named Sunny, and a mouse named Mousey. At first she was frightened but soon realized they were friendly animals and they wanted to be her friend.
Jewel was talking with the animals, and they decided to explore the tree and try to find more animals. As they were walking through the roots of the tree, they found a room filled with magical fairies. Jewel and the animals asked the fairies where they could find more animals to play with. The fairies showed them a secret passage way to a big forest. As they stepped into the big forest 100 bats flew at them and scared them. They all let out a big scream! The bats put a spell on them, and they fell asleep.
The fairies heard Jewel and the animals scream, so they rushed to help them. The fairies lifted the sleeping spell. They saw a gate and opened it and found a nice bat that talked, and he was a magical bat. "Hello, my name is Rocco.", said the bat. "How can I help you?"
"Do you know any friends that want to play?", asked Jewel.
"Yes, I have a secret party with a bunch of friends to play with.", said Rocco. "Follow me!"
So they followed the bat until they reached two paths. They didn't know which way to go. They tried all the ways until they found the right way. They ended up at the secret party. There was a big aquarium there.
The bats showed Jewel and her friends the aquarium because they had a problem. The water was running out because someone was drinking it all. The animals in the aquarium might die soon because they were running out of water. Fortunately the dolphins in the aquarium could hold their breath for a long time, but if the fish die, the sharks won't be able to survive because they won't have enough food to eat and they will starve. "Can you help us find more water for the animals?" they asked Jewel.
Jewel said, "Yes, I'll help you. Maybe we could split up. Sunny and Slither can look for a lake, while Mushy and Mousey can look for a lake, while Mushy and Mousey can look for the thing that is drinking the water."
Mushy and Mousey find a sneaky elephant that turns different sizes. He is drinking the water out of the lake. Nice Gobblins with pointy ears, sharp teeth and claws push the elephant away from the aquarium.
Sunny and Slither are trying to find the lake but can’t see it. It’s right in front of them. They see a metal ramp that they have to unlock. They look for a key and find it in a tunnel with lines and water. They have to get the key before the place turns red with lava. They get the key and find the secret passage and it opens. The secret passage is dark. They see a ladder. Sunny has a flashlight. He uses it to go in the secret passage. Then the flashlight goes out. They have another big huge flashlight that turns on. It was a key flashlight that doesn’t run out of power. They find the lake.
Next they carry a big jar to the lake and open it. They put water inside of the jar and then carry it to the aquarium. They pour the water inside the aquarium. But this is not enough. They still need more. So they do this again ten more times. Finally, they don't have to do it anymore because it's filled. Now they can have their secret party
