Your class will be writing ONE group paragraph(s) for the story (not each student). The first class will write the intro paragraph(s). Then the next class will read the paragraph(s) and decide how they want to continue the story. This will continue until the last class on the list writes the ending and gives the story a title. Your paragraph(s) will be typed onto this Wiki page. You will also need to send (email as .jpg) the 3 pictures to your Teacher Leader. The pictures should illustrate events in the section that your class wrote.

Please visit the Instructions Page for more information.

Please add your information to the chart. This way your classes can "see" where the story is traveling and have a chance to actually "meet" some of the students who collaborate on their story.

The Mysterious Adventure

Alex and Drew sneaked on a ship in Florida without their parents noticing. The ship left early and the boat was headed toward the Bermuda Triangle. Alex cried, “Oh no, we might not get back home if we don’t get off this ship.” Drew exclaimed, “Yeah, I was thinking we would just explore and get back off!” They both recalled what they had read about the Bermuda Triangle and how dangerous it had been in the past. They looked toward the back and saw the buildings getting smaller and smaller.
As the land began to disappear, Alex and Drew were frightened because they were far from home and were missing their parents. After their moment of panic, they begin to search for a lifeboat to try and get off the ship and go home. Alex runs to side of the deck and looks over the edge looking for lifeboats. No boats, so he runs to the other side--still no boats! The boys begin to pace desparately looking for help. They soon find the captain of the ship and decide to turn themselves in. The captain says, "What are you boys doing on the ship?" The boys nervously tell the captain that they were exploring the ship when it unexpectedly started moving away from the shore. "Can you please take us home?"

“You snuck yourself on, so you need to get off yourself,” growled the captain. He was wearing a pair of purple pants and a dirty, white, stained shirt. His shirt smelled of rotten fish. His dirty beard showed many colors from the various things stuck in it. Drew fought back tears. Alex said, “We will find a way!” Suddenly an enormous white object came into view. It was an iceberg! The Captain yelled to his crew, “Iceberg!” The crew tried their very best to turn the ship.

They almost crashed into the ice berg but one of the crew members stopped them from crashing by turning the wheel. It began to get very stormy. The clouds were black and it was becoming very foggy. The captain’s hands were shaking because the waves were so strong. It was hard to steer. The waves pushed Alex, Drew, and the crew into the Bermuda Triangle. Alex and Drew saw a light under the water. It was amazing; they saw some broken planes sitting on the bottom. There was a noise. “Are there people in the airplanes?” exclaimed Drew. Alex said, “I don’t know.” An airplane suddenly shot out of the water. Inside Drew and Alex’s parents sat criss-cross-applesauce in the front seat. Dad was flying the plane. As the plane flew over the ship, Alex and Drew’s parents parachuted out of the plane and onto the ship. The captain felt sorry for the boys so he decided to steer them back home. The parents were not mad and they were all happy to be together again. Alex and Drew never snuck off again.
