Your class will be writing ONE group paragraph(s) for the story (not each student). The first class will write the intro paragraph(s). Then the next class will read the paragraph(s) and decide how they want to continue the story. This will continue until the last class on the list writes the ending and gives the story a title. Your paragraph(s) will be typed onto this Wiki page. You will also need to send (email as .jpg) the 3 pictures to your Teacher Leader. The pictures should illustrate events in the section that your class wrote.

Please visit the Instructions Page for more information.

Please add your information to the chart. This way your classes can "see" where the story is traveling and have a chance to actually "meet" some of the students who collaborate on their story.

TItle: The Mayor's Tower

Start your story here:

Once upon a time there were two kids named Sally and Bill. They were visiting the tower to meet the mayor. The mayor was having a birthday party and invited children who were helpful in the town. Sally and Bill were excited to go to the party and give the mayor a birthday present.

When Sally and Bill entered the tower all the doors slammed shut behind them. They realized the doors had locked.

Sally and Bill looked around but didn’t see the mayor or the other children. They followed mystery arrows to an elevator and found a note. It said, “Take the elevator to the Mayor’s Tower.” When the elevator opened, Sally and Bill heard scary noises and saw a ghost coming toward them. "Whooo are you?" the ghost said. The children ran to find the mayor and the other helpful children. When the children got to the mayor's tower, there was the mayor's evil twin dressed as a vampire! "Welcome to my world of doom!" said the evil twin. Was this a fake birthday party so he could do something bad?

All of a sudden, Sally and Bill see the ghost again. After observing the ghost closer, they notice it isn't a REAL GHOST--it's only Sally's best friend, Millie, who has also been invited to the party. The children begin to laugh! "Did I scare you?" Millie asks. "Absolutely, but why did you scare us," asked Bill, "and why are you dressed like that?"

"Didn't you read the invitation that said it was a Halloween birthday party and everyone must wear a scary costume?" Millie replied. Bill and Sally responded with a sad nod, no. Bill and Sally ask Millie if she had seen the mayor dressed as the evil vampire. Millie laughs, "No, he's a clown, not a vampire." Bill and Sally are confused. "Then who is dressed as a vampire?"

“It might be a disguise,” said Bill, “Let’s go searching for clues.” They started to search excitedly and charged into a new room with a dramatic entrance. As they observe the room, they see a bunch of vials and beakers sitting on shelves. Bill, Sally, and Millie then saw a girl mixing liquids at a lab table. “We must have found a science lab,” said Bill, “I wonder what she’s making?” While in the lab, they also spotted the Mayor; sitting patiently in a chair. “Why are you in here?” asked Millie. “I’m waiting for my brother to pick me up before I can make my big Birthday entrance.” “Then, who is that girl?” asked Sally. The Mayor tells them that she is a waitress for the party, dressed as a mad scientist, and is making drinks to put in potion bottles. As he finishes telling them about what she making they hear a, “beep…beep….beep.” “What was that?” asked Bill. “That’s my watch and it’s time for my big entrance,” says the Mayor. The next thing they know the vampire storms into the science lab and says, “I’ve been looking for you!” “AAAH, that’s the vampire!” Bill, Sally, and Millie scream. “No it’s not, it’s my brother, Georgie, who I was telling you about,” said the Mayor. Bill looks confused, and says, “Wait, the vampire’s really your brother?” Millie then interrupts and says, “But he’s EVIL!” “No, he’s not,” says the Mayor, “We’ve been faking this whole time to make him seem scarier.” “Now, let’s get this grand entrance started, so we can have a great time!” says Georgie.
