Your class will be writing ONE group paragraph(s) for the story (not each student). The first class will write the intro paragraph(s). Then the next class will read the paragraph(s) and decide how they want to continue the story. This will continue until the last class on the list writes the ending and gives the story a title. Your paragraph(s) will be typed onto this Wiki page. You will also need to send (email as .jpg) the 3 pictures to your Teacher Leader. The pictures should illustrate events in the section that your class wrote.

Title (Given by the last class):
The Easter Disaster
Start your story here:
Oliver Rose woke up early that Easter morning to discover there were NO Easter eggs. Oliver lived with his parents and his twin sister, Savannyah in a little town called Kangaroo Corner.
Quickly, Oliver rushed to wake up his sister by jumping on her.
"There's no Easter eggs!" he yelled desperately.
Savannyah replied sleepily, "You're just dreaming, Ollie. Go back to bed!"
"I'm serious Savvy. There's NO EASTER EGGS! What could have happened?
What Ollie and Savvy did not know was that for the last three days the Easter bunny was laying in bed, watching cartoons, and eating carrot noodle soup. “A-chu!!!” He had the bunny flu! The Easter bunny needed help and fast. He needed someone to deliver the Easter eggs to the good children of the world. First, he thought about calling Mother Nature, but she was so busy during this time of year preparing the April showers and making the daffodils bloom. Next, he thinks of Jack Frost, but he’s too cold to come out in spring. Finally, he thinks of his best friend Cupid. He quickly call his Valentine friend to see if he will deliver his Easter goodies. Cupid agrees to fill in for him. But what the Easter bunny doesn’t know is that Cupid is really jealous of him! Each year the boys and girls color beautiful pictures and make wonderful decorations to set the scene for the Easter bunny’s arrival. “Why can’t they do that for me?” he wonders. So he decides that he will deliver a magic love potion hidden in the candy goodies that will cause the boys and girls to love Cupid more than the Easter bunny.
The next morning Savvy and Ollie wake to find no Easter eggs, but they do see something new--brightly colored candies. They each take a big bite of one, when…
their mom scolded, “I heard those candy wrappers! Don’t eat anymore of that junk food until you are finished with your breakfast.” But it was too late. Savvy and Ollie were under the love potion’s spell.
Immediately, Savvy began hugging the refrigerator. “Refrigerator, you are so cute! You are as cold as Antarctica’s ice. The sound of crashing ice cubes is music to my ears.
Your shelves hold my favorite chocolate pudding.”
A second later Ollie was sweet talking the cookie jar. “You hold the cookies I love so much. Your chocolate chips are beauty to my eyes. Your crunchy, sweet cookies are so super delicious. I am crazy about your cookies.” Ollie kissed the lid.
In horror Cupid observed Ollie and Savvy. He realized his plan backfired! Instead of the children falling in love with him, they fell in love with the first thing they saw. Luckily, to Cupid’s relief, the potion’s effects lasted for only 5 minutes.
When the spell ended, Cupid had another idea.
He mixed up a potion to give to the Easter Bunny which would trick him into giving his job to Cupid. Then all the children would love Cupid instead of the Easter Bunny. He poured the potion into a bottle marked “Medicine” and he zoomed off to the Easter Bunny's house.
Meanwhile, the Easter Bunny was spying on Cupid through his magical crystal egg. The crystal Easter egg was beautiful and very valuable. It sparkled with all the colours of the rainbow. The Easter Bunny had been watching Cupid play his nasty tricks while he was sneezing and coughing. He knew Cupid was on his way with the terrible fake medicine. He was thinking about what to do when he sneezed a giant sneeze and … SSSSMMMAAASHH! He dropped the crystal egg. It shattered on the floor into a million tiny rainbows, just as the doorbell went DING DONG....
The Easter Bunny rushed to the door and opened it. Just as Cupid ran in, the Easter Bunny sneezed another giant sneeze. It scared Cupid and he tripped over all the tiny crystals . He dropped the medicine bottle. Easter Bunny quickly grabbed Cupid’s bow and arrow and shot him in the heart. Cupid smiled and started singing “Here Comes Peter Cottontail.” Easter Bunny took the arrow out of Cupid’s heart. They were once again great friends.
They called on Mother Nature, who took time from blooming daffodils, to gather eggs for them. Then Cupid put on his heavy red winter coat and Easter Bunny put on his extra large ear warmers. They went to Jack Frost’s house so he could help color the eggs.
Cupid and the Easter Bunny headed for Kangaroo Corner, where Mother Nature had made it a pretty, sunny day. They secretly left the eggs in Ollie and Savvy’s bathtub where they would find them when they went to take a bath that night. Their Easter adventure would finally have a happy ending.
