Your class will be writing ONE group paragraph(s) for the story (not each student). The first class will write the intro paragraph(s). Then the next class will read the paragraph(s) and decide how they want to continue the story. This will continue until the last class on the list writes the ending and gives the story a title. Your paragraph(s) will be typed onto this Wiki page. You will also need to send (email as .jpg) the 3 pictures to your Teacher Leader. The pictures should illustrate events in the section that your class wrote.

Please visit the Instructions Page for more information.

If you would like to share any contact information please feel free to add it to the chart. This way your classes have a chance to actually "meet" some of the students that collaborate on their story.

Please feel free to make corrections to your name/school/location or add the names of teachers if you are working with someone on this project.

Since the story didn't get finished, I have added my students' pictures for the first part of the story. These were created collaboratively using the drawing tools in Google Docs.

Title (Given by the last class):

Start your story here:
I woke up in a field of sunflowers; I don’t remember a thing. Where am I? Who am I? Why am I here? I looked around and took in the unfamiliar surroundings: the tall sunflowers that nearly blocked out the light blue sky above, the light breeze that came through the field, and the bits of sunlight that still shone through. I was so confused!

I looked around and saw a bug. I thought it was a ladybug but then I noticed it was a beautiful grasshopper. She was gorgeous! I decided to pick her up and keep her but when I tried to pick her up she hopped away.

I started to follow her and she led me to a gargantuan oak tree. “Why did you bring me here?” I asked. The little grasshopper looked up at me and said “This is where my family lives. Lumberjacks are going to cut down this tree and I need your help!” I can’t help. I need to find my family and figure out where I came from.
