Your class will be writing ONE group paragraph(s) for the story (not each student). The first class will write the intro paragraph(s). Then the next class will read the paragraph(s) and decide how they want to continue the story. This will continue until the last class on the list writes the ending and gives the story a title. Your paragraph(s) will be typed onto this Wiki page. You will also need to send (email as .jpg) the 3 pictures to your Teacher Leader. The pictures should illustrate events in the section that your class wrote.

Please visit the Instructions Page for more information.

If you would like to share any contact information please feel free to add it to the chart. This way your classes have a chance to actually "meet" some of the students that collaborate on their story.

Please feel free to make corrections to your name/school/location or add the names of teachers if you are working with someone on this project.

Title (Given by the last class):
Friends In The Forest

Once upon a time there was a Bunny named Fred. Fred was light brown and very chubby. Fred lived in a large hole in the forest. The forest had many trees. The forest was a warm and sunny place during the day, but during the night it was very dark and when the wind blew the trees it made a very spooky sound.
In the forest there also lived a tiny mouse and a great big bear. The bear was black, but not very brave and mouse was very small and very brown but very brave. The bunny, the bear and the mouse were all very good friends. They loved playing tag.

One day when the friends were playing tag, Mallory Mouse said “Let’s play hide and seek!” Fred wanted to, but Billy Bear was too scared to play.

He said “I might get lost!”

When Fred went home he started his computer and got on Google Earth to make a map for Billy Bear so he could find his way around the forest. But Billy Bear was still too afraid to play hide and seek.

Fred and Mallory Mouse thought they should show Bear there is nothing to be afraid of and it’s time to stop being scared. So, they took Bear to Dr. Bob Cat. Dr. Bob said, “Look at the green trees. Are you scared of them? At night when you look at the stars and the moon, are you scared of them?”

Bear said, “No.”

But when they got home, Billy Bear was still too afraid to play hide and seek. Then Mallory Mouse jumped on Billy Bear’s nose and said “You’ve got to be brave!” But just then, Bear sneezed “a…a…a…achoo!”

Mallory Mouse fell off Bear's nose and landed on the hard ground. The mouse said, "Hey, watch what you're doing!" Billy Bear said, "Sorry Mallory Mouse that I made you fall." Mallory Mouse said, "I will forgive you but only if you play a fun game of Hide and Seek!" Bear said, "I will play if someone goes with me and hides with me." So the brave mouse went with Bear and they both played Hide and Seek with Fred the Bunny. They were having a great time until

they heard a noise in the grass. Everyone stopped to listen. Mallory mouse said,

"What is that?"

"I don't know but is sounds scary," said Billy.

Suddenly, Fred screamed and pointed,

"It's a giant worm!"

"No," screamed Mallory Mouse, "It's a huge caterpillar! Run for your lives!"

"Wait," Billy Bear said bravely. "It's just a corn snake guys. I learned about them in school. It won't hurt you."

"Oh," Mallory said.

The three friends looked at each other.

"Should we ask it to play Hide and Seek?" said Fred

Everyone nodded and they tiptoed towards the corn snake carefully.

The snake looked worried as the group of animals approached him. The mouse, bear and bunny approached the snake slowly and carefully. They asked him if he wanted to play Hide & Seek with them. The snake could not believe that these animals liked to play his favourite game. They had so much fun they played until the forest got dark. All of a sudden Billy Bear realized he wasn't scared. They continued to play until 8pm and everyone had to head home for bed. It was a great day! Billy was brave for the first time and everyone made a new friend.
