Progressive Story 29
Your class will be writing ONE group paragraph(s) for the story (not each student). The first class will write the intro paragraph(s). Then the next class will read the paragraph(s) and decide how they want to continue the story. This will continue until the last class on the list writes the ending and gives the story a title. Your paragraph(s) will be typed onto this Wiki page. You will also need to send (email as .jpg) the 3 pictures to me. The pictures should illustrate events in the section that your class wrote.

Title (The Great Shoe Caper):

Mr. Dudar ran frantically from classroom to classroom looking for the special item. “Oh no,” he exclaimed, “What did I do with them?” Mr. Dudar, the principal of our school and also an important member of the PSN (Principal Spy Network), had just finished a staff/student indoor soccer game and went to change back into his special, black dress shoes. He had just found that his shoes were missing. Not any old shoes, but his spy shoes. You know the ones, the ones that can climb walls, ceilings, and walk on water.
The problem with the missing shoes was that there was a secret compartment with the PSN’s top secret code decoder. We overheard the principal whispering to himself and asked if we could help. In our class, we solve mysteries and decode codes almost everyday, so we have the great intelligence and the smarts to help solve this mystery.

“Can we help?” Olivia and Timothy asked. The two children had overheard Mr. Dudar’s conflict and were enthusiastically willing to help. “Certainly, you can assist, but I’ll need some professional help as well. I’ll call my principal friend and co Principal Spy Network support, Miss Suki. Mr. Dudar phoned her and told her to bring her special go-go boots. These boots had all the same gadgets that are in Mr. Dudar’s black shoes, including toe lights that would help see in dark places. “After our game, my special go-go boots also vanished,” Miss Suki exclaimed seriously. “I see,” said Mr Dudar. “The plot thickens.”

When Mr. Dudar, Ms. Suki, Oliva, and Timothy went to the science lab, they saw that all the spy boots were missing; even the spares. They were shocked when they discovered all the materials for the boots were missing. As they were walking through the school, they found little pieces of boots leading outside to a dirty and broken abandonded school bus. There was a little shadow on the school bus door. Mr. Dudar, Ms. Suki, Olivia, and Timothy were terrified. Suddenly, inside the school bus, they heard a scream.

Olivia and Timothy went into the bus to see what was going on. Suddenly, the bus doors closed behind them! Their hearts began to race as they saw the shadow creeping towards them. As they got closer to the shadow, it was clear that the figure was of Coach Tom, the school’s soccer coach. In his hands he was holding a pair of cleats. Surprised to see Olivia and Timothy, Coach Tom dropped the cleats and frantically jumped from the back window of the bus. Olivia reached down to pick up the cleats and realized they were not your typical soccer cleats. With the unusual cleats in hand, Timothy and Olivia used the emergency exit on the bus to get out. Once outside, they showed the cleats to Mr. Dudar and Ms. Suki who immediately noticed that there was something special about these cleats. They ran back to the school, into the principal’s office and locked the door behind them. They began to investigate the cleats and discovered that they contained a secret compartment with another PSN’s top secret code decoder.

They all began to wonder why would Coach Tom jump out of the bus so quickly! "Wait a minute," said Olivia, "all the boots disappeared at the same time." "Well, yes!" said Mr. Dudar. Olivia explained that while she was doing her school work she looked out the window and saw Coach Tom walking across the soccer field with a huge bag. "Do you know what was inside his bag?" asked Ms. Suki. "NO!" exclaimed Olivia. The group decided that they needed to find Coach Tom immediately to see why he also had a pair of PSN's shoes. The group went to investigate the gym to track down Coach Tom. As they slowly walked into the gym, there was Coach Tom holding the huge bag that Olivia saw him with earlier that day. As they stood in the gym, they watched Coach Tom carefully take out Mr. Dudar's special, black shoes and Ms. Suki's go-go boots. Mr. Dudar shouted,"What are you doing with my shoes?" Olivia, Timothy, and Ms. Suki ran to cover the other doors so Coach Tom couldn't escape. Then Coach Tom dropped the shoes and turned to Mr. Dudar. When Coach Tom turned around to face Mr. Dudar, he noticed that he was wearing a shirt that had the letters ECO (Evil Coach Organization). Coach Tom tried to run away, but Mr. Dudar was too quick for him and grabbed his arm. Coach Tom explained to Mr. Dudar that he wanted to take down the PSN network so that the ECO would be able to control the school. The police were called and Coach Tom was arrested. Mr. Dudar and Ms. Suki got their shoes back and were quite happy to have them back in there possession. Olivia and Timothy returned to class proud of themselves.
