Progressive Story 4
Your class will be writing ONE group paragraph(s) for the story (not each student). The first class will write the intro paragraph(s). Then the next class will read the paragraph(s) and decide how they want to continue the story. This will continue until the last class on the list writes the ending and gives the story a title. Your paragraph(s) will be typed onto this Wiki page. You will also need to send (email as .jpg) the 3 pictures to me. The pictures should illustrate events in the section that your class wrote.
If you would like to share information about you email address, Skype name, iChat name, etc., please feel free to do so. Some teachers mentioned that they would like to actually "meet" some of the students that collaborate on their story.

One afternoon clouds as black as ashes came creeping into the sky as Julia and Matt were walking home from school. Suddenly the wind began to howl and the trees were bending with its force. As if they were jaguars Julia and Matt started running home. The violent wind began ripping off the siding of houses and blowing out the windows. Julia and Matt heard a loud crack just as a tree landed in front of them. They looked behind them and saw a tornado barreling down the street. Before they could think of what to do next they were sucked up into the tornado. As they were spinning inside the tornado Matt looked at Julia and said, “I had no idea
would be inside a tornado.”
Julia replied, “Um, I don’t think this is any ordinary tornado since that HUGE Tyrannosaurus Rex is about to have us for his lunch! Matt asked, “What are we going to do?” Just then, the tornado suddenly dropped Julia and Matt along with the ferocious T-Rex on the ground. Matt sat up, looked around the unfamiliar territory, and said, “I think we must have been inside some kind of weird time traveling tornado. Run for your life!!!”
After hearing Matt’s warning, Julia turned to see the enormous T-Rex coming towards them! As they were running as fast as they could, they noticed that they were going through a scary jungle! Julia and Matt noticed that this jungle was like a prehistoric park. There were many rivers, erupting volcanoes, and a lot of rain. They passed many different types of dinosaurs. As the T-Rex was about to swallow them up, a pterodactyl with giant wings came and grabbed them by their shirts. They were safe from the T-Rex, but now they had to worry about the huge pterodactyl. The pterodactyl suddenly dropped them. Julia yelled, “Oh no! This can’t be good!” They looked down to see that they were falling into a spooky black hole.
Down, down, down they fell into a very old gold mine. However, there was no gold. The mine was filled with candy, and I mean lots of candy. Matt and Julia had there pick of the litter, M&M's, Hershey bars, Twix, Take 5, you name it. Once their bellies were full and they made it to the end of the mine, they saw a secret door. Matt and Julia opened the door to witness the future. "Holy Cow!" the kids said together. Julia and Matt couldn't believe their eyes because they were twenty-five years old instead of eight years old.
Julia and Matt stared in wonder through the door. How could they be 25 instead of 8? "Should we open the door?" Julia asked. It was scary but also exciting. "I don't know," said Matt. "We would miss so much fun. What about Mom and Dad? What about school?" Julia and Matt were confused about what to do. Suddenly, Julia heard a loud ringing sound in her ears--it sounded like an alarm clock! She sat up and looked around. Rubbing her eyes, Julia realized she has been in the deepest sleep of her life. The wild adventure had been a dream! She could hardly wait to tell Matt of the strangest dream she'd ever had!
