If you would like to share information about you: email address, Skype name, Twitter name, etc., please feel free to add it to the chart. Some teachers mentioned that they would like to actually "meet" some of the students that work on their story.

Your class will be writing ONE group paragraph(s) for the story (not each student). The first class will write the intro paragraph(s). Then the next class will read the paragraph(s) and decide how they want to continue the story. This will continue until the last class on the list writes the ending and gives the story a title. Your paragraph(s) will be typed onto this Wiki page. You will also need to send (email as .jpg) the 3 pictures to me. The pictures should illustrate events in the section that your class wrote. Illustrations can be drawn and photographed or created using a computer program such as Kidpix.

Tim, Dave and Squeaker's Adventure and Mr. Bobs Rescue
It was a dark and dreary morning and Bob’s Pet Palace was closed. Squeakers the hamster, Dave the cat and Tim the guinea pig were in their cages. They were so bored because there were no toys to play with and no owners to give them love and attention. Their cages were smelly, messy and hard. And worst of all they couldn’t get to sleep at night. Dave spoke up and said, “Squeakers and Tim, we have to get out of here.” Squeakers said, “You’re right Dave, we have to find ourselves a home.” Tim said, “I have a plan!!”

Later that night the pets sent out an SOS. The three pets called all of their friends to help them break out of their cages. "The next morning when Mr. Bob comes in the back room to feed us our friends can attack him. They can steal the keys and unlock the cages”, said Dave the cat. The next morning the plan was put into action. The friends got the keys to their friend Joe, the cat, who opened the cages. Joe freed Squeakers first because he is the smallest. Squeakers ran around in front of Mr. Bob trying to distract him so that Joe had time to free Tim and Dave. "Free at last from our smelly messy hard cages!!! Tim’s plan was a success." They quickly escaped out the door looking for love and attention. Mr. Bob chased them down the sidewalk.

Not even two shops away, Mr. Bob tripped over his own shoelaces and the three friends darted into a dark alley. With Squeakers in the lead, they walked slowly down the scary passage. "Woof! Woof!" They heard as their leader bumped into a large object. Squeakers looked up at his friends and saw their shivering bodies and bulging eyes. As he discovered the source of their fear, Bongo the Bulldog, bully of the neighborhood, snarled, "Looks like I found dinner for tonight." Dave, Tim, and Squeakers ran back down the alley, and without hesitation, they bolted into noisy traffic and across Beagle Boulevard. Out of breath, and seeing Bongo stuck on the other side, they stumbled into Pet Valley's popular pet park, only to find it filled with bloodhounds, beagles, retrievers and hundreds more like them. The exhausted trio quickly tiptoed to the nearest pine tree and took cover. Feeling safe, they fell into a deep sleep. Waking suddenly to the sound of barking dogs, Dave and Tim had this strange feeling that something was terribly wrong.

That’s when they noticed Dave the cat was missing! Tim and Squeakers saw a big pack of mean looking dogs near the potty tree. They climbed up the back side of the Sprawling Live Oak. They saw Dave trembling in the middle of the blood thirsty pack. Bongo, the Bull dog, yells,” Hey, you big scaredy cat,’’ Tim the guinea pig called down in his most ferocious voice,’’ Hey Bongo, you want a piece of me?’’ Bongo, in a flash, looked up and yelled’’ I don’t want a piece of you, I want all of you! For lunch! Dave saw his chance, and as quick as a wink, Dave dashed between Bongo’s legs and made a beeline for the tree.’’ Whew! Safe at last!

The three friends were safe in the tree but the dogs were still prowling and growling around underneath. After a little while Dave, Tim and Squeakers realised that they were stuck, trapped in the tree and unable to escape. The dogs below were not going to leave. All of sudden Dave said “Look there’s Mr. Bob. He is coming this way.”
Bongo the bully said, “This is no fun but look over there. There is someone we can chase. Let’s have some real fun.” The dogs lead by Bongo turned and looked at Mr. Bob. They started to move towards the unsuspecting visitor. Squeakers realising what was going to happen said, “We should do something about this. We have to help Mr. Bob. Even though he wasn’t very nice to us we can’t let that bully Bongo hurt him.” They made a plan. While the dogs are moving towards Mr. Bob the three friends climbed back down the sprawling oak tree. They were feeling very nervous as they snuck closer to the pack of dogs. They were waiting for just the right moment. As the dogs were just about to pounce on Mr. Bob, the three pets yelled “HEY, LOOK AT US!”
Instantly the dogs turned and chased the pets into the nearby forest. This was just the plan that they had in mind because they had seen a hollow log which was perfect for them to hide in. Even better than they had planned, Bongo tried to fit into the hollow log and got stuck head first. The more he struggled the more he got stuck, until his feet came off the ground and he started rolling away. The pets jumped out of the log to see all the other dogs laughing so hard that they had forgotten all about chasing anyone.
Mr. Bob came up to the pets and thanked them for saving him. He promised to look after them properly from now on and if they came back to the Pet Palace they will be safe and it will be like a real palace and he will treat them like royalty. Dave, Tim and Squeakers lived with Mr. Bob happily ever after.
